Kate Jacobson is

a woman of the north, raising a young person, in a world wrestling with what it means to have integrity in every relationship, sovereignty of body, and honor in our humanity.

I was born near the headwaters of a river that flows from depths of the earth to the open sea and have lived within the flow of its watershed for the majority of my life.

As a multi-disciplinary artist, I express by dancing, painting, writing, photographing, working clay with my hands, collaging and more. This site, for now, is a space for me to share my creative work, with humility and joy.

My ancestors, well and troubled, from the beginning of time exist within me and within the land. We carry deep waters, mischief, creativity, free thinking, stories and a compass for sensual reclamation. I seek to live with death as a natural unfolding of life, and support others in this as well.

I am deeply committed to being human in my home, my blood and chosen family, workplaces, and social communities. Whole, rooted, fine tuned with skills and trusted intuition.
